I’m Tania Palomeque Guirao — a Barcelona-based photographer with a deep passion for capturing movement, emotion, and real moments. My journey with photography began at 16, when I fell in love with the art of freezing time through a lens.

As a professional dancer and teacher, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of expression — both on stage and behind the camera. Blending these two passions has become the heart of my work.

My career took shape in New York City, where I moved to pursue my dance studies. While there, I started photographing nightlife to support myself and soon found myself creating audition portfolios for fellow dancers. That’s when I realized how powerful photography could be in helping artists tell their stories.

I've had the honor of working alongside incredible NYC-based photographers like David Silverberg, Nelson Cintron, and Hassan from Digital Merit Photography. I also spent my final years in the city as an assistant to Creative Director Sonia Dawkins, capturing rehearsal moments that spoke volumes without words.

Now back in Barcelona, I continue to work with artists, performers, and creatives — as well as offering corporate and culinary photography.

 

No matter the subject, my goal remains the same: to tell authentic stories through compelling imagery.
